Water-Borne Coating Resins
Water-Borne Coating Resins
Deltech Resin Company produces latex emulsions, polyurethane dispersions, and water-borne alkyd resins. Latex resins are environmentally-friendly emulsion resins for coatings, sealants, and adhesives. Polyurethane dispersions add toughness and durability to acrylic emulsions. Water-borne alkyd resins produce non-VOC coatings with the properties of solvent-borne alkyds.
Acrylic Emulsion Resins
100% acrylic emulsions are typically used in UV-stable industrial and residential coatings for both interior and exterior applications.
Typical Applications
Styrene Acrylic Emulsion Resins
Typical Applications
Styrene acrylic emulsion resins offer improved adhesion and resistance to water and alkali in both interior and exterior coatings.
Vinyl Acrylic Emulsions
Polyvinyl acetate co-polymers (PVA or PVAc) are widely used in adhesives, paints and coatings, construction products, and other industrial applications. Deltech Resin Company produces PVA for regional paint manufactures in the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast.
Polyurethane Dispersions
Water-borne polyurethane coating resins can be used alone, but they are typically blended with acrylic resins for aqueous floor coatings and wood coatings. The polyurethane imparts toughness and abrasion resistance and chemical resistance to clear acrylic coatings
Alkyd Resin Dispersions
Water-dispersions of alkyd resins are VOC-free (solvent-free) alkyd resins. Specialty surfactants produce stable dispersions that are easier to use than water-reducible alkyd resins.
